Jennette Wishes Ariana Grande To Read Her Memoir
McCurdy, in an interview with Rachel Smith from ET, said, “I don’t know if she’ll read the book or not, but I think it’s a really entertaining read regardless of who you are, so I hope she does.”
The memoir was released on Tuesday. In it, McCurdy was seen recalling how she felt jealous when Grande started to miss work to focus on her singing career.
She added to her memoir that, “The week where I was told Ariana would not be here at all, and that they would write around her absence this episode by having her character be locked in a box. Are you. Kidding me.”
It further stated, “So I have to turn down movies while Ariana’s off whistle-toning at the Billboard Music Awards? F**k. This.”
Jealousy stopped McCurdy from being a good sport
McCurdy was always praised for being a good sport, but the situation she faced with Ariana leaving, it made her resent being herself.
She said, “If I wasn’t such a good sport to begin with, I wouldn’t be in this predicament in the first place. I wouldn’t be on this sh**ty show saying these sh**ty lines on this sh**ty set with this sh**ty hairstyle.”
“Maybe my life would be entirely different right now. I fantasize about it being different. But it’s not different. It’s this. This is what it is. Ariana misses work in pursuit of her music career while I act with a box. I’m pissed about it. And I’m pissed at her. Jealous of her.” she further added.
The Break-up point
Yes. This break-up point finally reached the edge when, as per McCurdy, Ariana entered whistle-toning with all her excitement as she did spend last evening at Tom Hank’s house playing charades.
According to McCurdy’s memoir, “That was the moment I broke,”
She added, “I couldn’t take it anymore. Music performances and magazine covers… whatever, I’ll get over it. But playing a family game at National Treasure, two-time Academy Award–winner and six-time nominee Tom Hanks’s house? I’m done.”
The memoir also included some words like “7 Rings” singer, and this McCurdy said she couldn’t like it. It even said, she was able to handle her success being a pop star, but her hanging out with Forrest F**king Gump, Sheriff Woody, this was definitely too far gone.
For her, whenever Ariana missed her work, it felt like a personal attack and when something exciting happened to her, she felt like Ariana robbed her of the experience she could have had.
Experience from Sam & Cat for McCurdy
The experience from Sam & Cat for McCurdy was quite rocky for the actress, but it didn’t put her off the screen and acting totally. She has been giving her focus to directing and writing now, as told by McCurdy to ET. She even said that she is considering stepping back from being on-camera.
She began with, “I am shocked to be saying — have you ever had one of those thoughts where it’s like, ‘Oh where did that come from? Why is this happening?” and continued, “I had that maybe, I wanna say, a couple months back where I thought, ‘You know what? There might be a way for me to act from a place that feels really healing and empowered, maybe write something for myself.'”
She further said that it doesn’t seem like it has gone too far, but I would definitely wish to have my focus on directing and writing. She also added that she was open to getting back to acting again as she feels it to be a part of her personal growth, but she walked away from the same in the past, and it felt important before to her. However, as per her, now she is in a different place.
